How To Take Snapshots On Your iPhone

iPhone screenshotIt’s a little-known feature that usually comes in handy if you’re a gamer, an app developer, or are troubleshooting a problem, but maybe it’s so little-known because no one ever showed you how to do it.

Here’s the best part about it on the iPhone: No app required!  That means you don’t have to shell out one additional penny to capture what’s on your iPhone’s screen.

The next best part: It’s ridiculously simple.

How to do it:

  • From wherever you are on your iPhone, whether inside an app or from the Home screen, simply press the “Home” and the “Power” buttons simultaneously.

That’s it? Yep… that’s it.  Now go to your photo gallery and you’ll find your photos under the “Camera Roll” and maybe also under your “Photo Stream” if you have it enabled.  Now, I only have the new iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1.  I don’t have an iPad or iPod Touch to experiment with, so if you have one or you have an older model iPhone or iOS version, please drop me a comment and let me know if it works for you too.

Be safe!
