iOS Update to 6.1

After upgrading from iOS 5 to iOS 6, my keyboard accuracy went into the drink, so I’m hoping that this will also improve with the update, but I’m not holding my breath. Nothing here makes a difference to me, since my iPhone is Verizon, and it only works with Verizon. It’s not like I’m going to see LTE on a 3G device, so unless you have an iPhone 5, don’t expect that to matter for you either. The following is the text that shows up in iTunes when you initiate the proffered update…

iOS 6.1

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:

• LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at )
• Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)
• iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
• New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

Addendum: 22 February 2013 @ 13:30…

It appears there are two more updates so we’re now up to 6.1.2.  Reported to fix Outlook/Exchange account sync errors and battery life/data usage that were being max’ed out.  If you jailbreak your iPhone, you should avoid the 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 updates until a new jailbreak method is available, or you will relock your device.  On another note, they keyboard is marginally more accurate. Still having trouble with caps in the middle of a sentence.
